Non-Pharmacological Approach to Vascular Diseases

This treatment uses a non-pharmacological method, which does not use medication. Non-pharmacological therapies aim to provide patients a sense of control while reducing fear, anguish, and worry as well as pain. There is mounting evidence that people who have had a stroke can profit greatly from coordinated stroke care during their rehabilitation. The reduction of vascular risk factors and prevention of a secondary vascular event may both benefit from non-pharmacological approaches. Given the small sample size and methodological restrictions no conclusions regarding the efficacy of non-pharmacological post-stroke treatment can be formed.
