Vascular Bleeding Disorders

With the exception of familial hemorrhagic telangiectasia, vascular bleeding disorders are anomalies in blood vessels, veins, and arteries that frequently result in petechiae, purpura, and bruises. Hemostasis testing in this vascular disease are typically normal. The majority of illnesses are diagnosed clinically, while some can be diagnosed with particular tests. It is said that the underlying problem is either in the vessels themselves or in the connective tissue around the vessels. Rarely do vascular conditions result in abnormal bleeding. Scurvy is a vitamin C deficit that results in capillary integrity loss and tissue blood seepage.
